Why do I need to register on the UVOTOpromo.com website?
Simply put, it'll be easier for you. You'll be automatically entered into the contest. Initial registration isn't mandatory, but if you do win, we need you to register so we can send you your prize. Don't worry about spam, we won't be sending you any. We have strict rules not to sell or spread any of your personal information. Registering has its benefits, because you can refer your friends for extra entries when they sign up for the contest, you can redeem a prize if you're notified of winning, you can check out the weekly winners as they're posted, and you only have to sign up once to get all these benefits. Can anyone register to UVOTO's contest?
The Contest is only open to students attending a College or University in a UVOTO licensed area in Ontario and those over the age of 13. To make sure the contest isn't rigged, people associated with UVOTO and people they are associated with are unable to enter the Contest. In legal terms, entries will not be accepted from the employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of UVOTO, their respective advertising and promotion agencies, or any of the respective affiliates, related entities, successors or assigns; employees of any refuse or recycling depot; or persons domiciled with any of the above. Also, the Contest and membership is designed for individuals so please do not register as a group, organization or school.
What do I do if I'm having problems with registering?
First, you have to check to see if you're completing all the "mandatory" questions. These are marked with an asterisk (*) and must be filled out so we know how to contact you if you're a winner and where to send your prize. If that doesn't do the trick, make sure that your password and your password confirmation are the same. If you're still having problems, please contact our tech support at help@UVOTOpromo.com to solve the problem.
What if I change my mind and want out of the contest or unsubscribe as a member?
If you've signed up for the contest and want to delete your file with us, go to the Contest Homepage and click on Login. Then type in your username (your email address) along with your password. A screen will appear which gives you the option to enter your redemption code or unsubscribe. Once you check unsubscribe, you will be automatically erased from our system along with all your entries to the UVOTO Contest.
If you suddenly change your mind and want to become a member again, we'd be glad to have you back. Just start over and sign-up just like you did the first time.
How do I enter the UVOTO contest?
When you register/sign-up on the website you are also automatically entered into the Contest, once for the Grand Prize and once for the current weekly draw. After this one time registration, you'll have the chance to enter the contest once per day. There are four (4) weeks wherein you could potentially win a weekly prize and you still have the chance to win the Grand Prize.
How do I get extra entries to increase the odds of winning a prize?
The contest is designed so that you can keep playing throughout the contest period. Each time you log on to www.UVOTO.com up to a maximum of once per day, you are awarded one entry for the current week's prize pool and one entry for the grand prize pool. Entries continue to accumulate throughout the contest period for the Grand Prize but entries for the weekly prizes are disposed of at the end of every "prize week". Therefore to be eligible for the following prize week, you must log in again. You don't need to buy anything to increase your odds of winning a prize; entering online will give you an equal opportunity to win. You can also check how many entries you have in the contest by checking the amount of points you have when you login to the microsite.
How do I get bonus entries?
You can get bonus entries by referring friends from your university/college or another in the UVOTO footprint Here's how it works: when you enter the contest, you can input three of your friends' email addresses. They'll get an email informing them about the contest and if they click on the link given to them in the email and sign up for the contest, you'll automatically have a bonus entry for that referral. Just make sure they click on that specific link in the email so that your bonus entry qualifies in our tracking system. You cannot refer the same three friends every day - every time you want bonus entries, the friends you refer must be unique and new entrants to the contest.
How often can I enter The contest?
A maximum of one online entry is awarded per day per valid email address. Email addresses are verified. See the bonus entries question for more information on getting better chances to win.

The first Weekly Draw is on September 3rd, 2006, so you must have all your bonus entries in to us before midnight the night preceding for them to count. The rest of the Weekly Draws are on these Sunday dates: September 10th, September 17th and September 24th, all in the year of 2006. All entries for the Grand Prize will be associated to your account and will be added from the time you enter the Contest, as long as it's after the official Contest Open Date of August 28th, 2006 at 12:00 AM EST until the official Closing Date on September 24th, 2006 at 11:59 PM EST.

How do I collect my prize?
If you are selected as a potential winner, you will be contacted in the same manner as you communicated with us. You will be directed to the www.UVOTOpromo.com microsite. If you have not registered, you will be required to do so. You will proceed to select the Redemption button, where you will enter the redemption code provided to you on the email. There will be a mathematical skill-testing question you must correctly answer, in accordance with the law. If you are under the age of majority in Ontario (18 years of age), or you were when you signed up as a UVOTO member, your parent or legal guardian will be required to act on your behalf by signing a Declaration and Release Form and accepting the prize as awarded. Just to warn you, if any of the Rules and Regulations are broken, UVOTO reserves the right to declare the win invalid.
